Shifts available are 5 am - 5 pm and 5 pm - 5 am.Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Greenville, MichiganReports to: Maintenance ManagerClassification: HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment, troubleshoots mechanical/electrical problems and performs repairs, to help eliminate downtime related to maintenance issues and improves line output, in accordance with company policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:•Working safely, following all safety procedures including Lockout Tagout and confined space entry rules, and setting a good example for all employees in safe work practices.•Ensuring quality and food safety best practices are followed during maintenance operation.•Effectively trouble shoot and maintain PLC programs, HMI, and work with related machine suppliers and corporate integrator team on such systems as necessary.•Maintaining facility and related maintenance systems, including preventative maintenance programs, performing systems repairs and equipment installations, in an appropriately manner.•Trouble shooting equipment problems and coordinating repair replacement projects with minimum production interruptions and downtime.•Identifying parts needing replacement, including following appropriate purchase order procedures to maintain an adequate supply of repair parts and supplies while minimizing costs.•Providing technical assistance and guidance to all levels of production and management regarding the proper operation and selection of equipment and spare parts.•Communicating maintenance issues to management that are considered a Safety or Health hazard or that could result in operational downtime.•Operating and maintaining boilers and refrigeration equipment in an appropriate manner.•Inspecting, preparing and safely operating all shop tools such as lathe, drill press, grinder, welder and any other hand or specialty tool/instrument associated with shop work.•Performing welding repairs in an appropriate manner to various metals, including stainless steel.•Working directly with production associates to develop their basic trouble shooting skills, including training them to perform basic and routine assembly/disassembly functions.•Maintaining shop housekeeping in accordance to our GMP policy, including keeping all maintenance related areas clean and orderly.•Following preventative maintenance program, master sanitation schedule, electrical permits and post maintenance inspection process.•Completing boiler EPL and other log documentations and work orders as assigned.•Disassemble, repair/replace defective components and reassemble equipment in an appropriate manner, including testing repaired equipment for proper operation prior to returning it to production.•Ensuring proper GMP and sanitation practices are followed prior to releasing equipment to production.•Assisting in the management of RM costs in a manner that is consistent wit
