Position : Junior Electrical Engineer

ASRC Federal Space & Defense (AS&D), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is seeking candidates for a Junior Electrical Engineer for the Electrical Systems Engineering Services II (ESES II) contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The ESES II contract is tasked with providing a broad range of engineering and related services to the GSFC Electrical Engineering Directorate as required, for the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of space flight and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies in support of NASA's current and future space flight and ground system projects.
ASRC Federal Space and Defense brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASRC Federal Space and Defense provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.
Interface with design engineers, commodity specialists, and vendor personnel to identify appropriate spaceflight quality parts, and resolve problems and issues.
Review parts lists for compliance with NASA GSFC and Project-specific quality and reliability requirements, and participate in Part Control Board and Failure Review Board meetings.
Review screening, lot acceptance testing, and destructive physical analysis results and provide concise synopsis for lot disposition.
Provide a technical interface to GSFC and AS&D procurement organizations.
Work with Senior Parts Engineer in mentor relationship.
Some travel may be required (<10%.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
Minimum 1 year of experience related to the manufacturing, testing, or operation of Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical (EEE) parts and relevant standards.
Demonstrated understanding of the differences between military, space, and commercial part specifications/manufacturing/testing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to prioritize activities and effectively support multiple projects/tasks.
