We are seeking students to join us from January 2019 – June 2019 for a full-time (40 hours a work week) opportunity to gain practical experience in software development and data infrastructure.
Avigilon is seeking a Data Science Co-op to build a data infrastructure of the purpose of cataloging, managing and curating datasets for the purpose of training and evaluating computer vision and machine learning algorithms.
Process image and video datasets through various algorithms and tools
Design and implement data storage solutions for videos, images, and associated metadata
Develop web applications for data management and data annotation
Develop evaluation metrics and tools for computer vision and machine learning algorithms
Design and implement processing strategies for large amounts of data
Strong Object Oriented design and programming skills
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Experience handling and processing large amounts of data
Experience building web applications and services
Experience developing software on Windows and Linux
Familiarity with machine learning and computer vision algorithms
Familiarity with deep learning platforms such as: Caffe, Tensorflow and Caffe2
Familiarity with data mining and visualization
Familiarity with cluster management and computing frameworks such as: Apache Mesos, Spark, Hadoop and Storm
Familiarity with cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS offerings.
Familiarity with graph databases
