PDS Tech Inc Repairables Coordinator- 1st Shift in Grand Prairie, Texas

PDS Tech Int. is seeking a Repairables Coordinator, in Grapevine, TX.

Summary:

  • The Repairables Coordiantor (Contract) will process customer parts that are returned for credit and communicate on a frequent basis with customer on status of credits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform reviews and process credit to customers for low dollar warranty and sales return items.

  • Research parts inventory history record to determine sales order and customer identification number to assure credit is applied appropriately.

  • Manage receipt, inspection and stocking of company special tooling that goes out on customer rental.

  • Run monthly scrap report for review.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, fax, and U.S. mail.

  • Prepare sub-contract work orders for all repairable materials.

  • Coordinate vendor repair activities and follow up on repairs in progress with vendors.

  • Maintain vendor warranty claim database.

  • Process, through a computerized system, parts returned by customers.

  • Open and inspect incoming repairables from customers and in-house departments to determine number of packages contained on freight bill and condition of material.

  • Inspect units to assure that material received is in accordance with enclosed documentation, history and/or log cards.

  • This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be familiar with general office procedures.

  • Requires computer skills along with PC experience.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Requires the ability to lift approximately 50 pounds, stoop and bend frequently.

  • Must have basic knowledge of aircraft field in handling of parts.

  • Must be mechanically inclined and be familiar with operation of warehouse equipment such as forklift, hand trucks, etc.

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Must have a customer service background with two-year experience in a warehouse or related field within the helicopter/aviation industry.

  • Previous experience with SAP preferred.
