Job Description

At Teva Runcorn, we’re leaders in sterile manufacturing and we’re a growing business which can offer great prospects for future progression. We make sterile products for use in the treatment of respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as well as pre-filled syringes and injectable devices for the treatment of conditions like Multiple Sclerosis and organ transplant.

We are currently looking for a Production Team Leader in Runcorn. The Production Team Leader will be responsible for leading and supervising shift teams to achieve improvements in planned production, pharmaceutical awareness, quality, cost and supply plans and activities in compliance with company, regulatory, pharmaceutical and internal/external standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Training of team, ensuring you and the shift team are up to date with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and that they are present within relevant training files.

  • Management of the Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) process, performing online reviews in real time, performing suitable handovers and working towards site KPIs.

  • Batch documentation.

  • Developing and supporting continuous improvement.

  • Leading the development of a pro-active EHS culture within the team.


Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Must have a Degree in an Engineering or Science / Biologics based discipline (or equivalent) and relevant experience.

  • Relevant leadership experience in a production environment preferably pharmaceutical, chemical or food environment.

  • Experienced in Managing Change and Continuous Improvement through people.

  • Must have a wide technical base that can be applied in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Proven leadership in a sterile Pharmaceutical manufacturer.

  • Must have proven technical skills within a Pharmaceutical, FMCG or Food environment.
