The Population Health Research Associate collaborates with internal and external clients to develop innovative programs or products that address relevant healthcare issues. This includes investigation and assessment of new opportunities for JHHC population health programs, summarizing and interpreting data and analytics for stakeholders, providing guidance for program evaluation or research projects, assisting external researchers with data sharing requests, and analyzing data using appropriate statistical procedures. The Research Associate will be required to effectively communication results and recommendations in written and oral presentations and assists with manuscript and grant writing.
This position requires a Master's degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Health Economics, Health Care Administration, Statistics, Epidemiology, or closely related field, and a minimum of three years experience with proven skills in healthcare research design, analysis, and project management. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills are required.
Candidates must have knowledge of managed care operations, medical coding, research methods, data extraction and manipulation, information systems, population-based studies, relational databases, and biostatistics. Must be able to work independently and meet aggressive timeframes, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prepare oral and written presentations to senior management and physician leadership.
