Removes or arranges for removal of safety hazards from environment immediately to prevent potential safety hazards from occurring. Prioritizes work based on the changing needs of the customers.

Keeps equipment in clean and working condition at all times.

Ensures necessary materials and supplies are on hand to complete daily assignments.

Assembles salads and sliced meets, preps tomatoes, lettuce, cheeses, pickles and condiments, stocks bread, disposables, and tools so that the area is stocked and ready for service.

Bakes cookies, brews regular and flavored coffee, and stocks beverage coolers.

Cooks eggs, bacon, sausage, omelets and pancakes, as well as, toasts and grills muffins and bread so that the food is properly prepared, served attractively, and customer needs are met.

Makes sandwiches and rollups, grills hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and grilled sandwiches so that the food is properly prepared, served attractively, and customer needs are met.

Enters food amounts into the cash register using the PLU keys ensuring sales are entered correctly and transactions are accurate, taking into account all discounts available.

Secures change from the office as needed, ensuring that proper amounts of currency are on hand during service. Thaws food for service using accepted methods and keeps food refrigerated so that bacterial growth is kept to a minimum thus eliminating the risk of food borne illness.

Observes proper hand washing techniques and wears disposable gloves when handling cooked food so that bacterial growth is kept to a minimum thus eliminating the risk of food borne illness.

Maintains clean and sanitary work surfaces and ensures that food pans are changed and washed daily so that area is always clean and free from contamination, ensuring that inspections by DPH, DMH, JCAHO and the local Board of Health are without violations or deficiencies.

Maintains a work and display area that is free of fingerprints on glass and ensures spills are wiped up immediately so that area is always clean and free from contamination, ensuring that inspections by DPH, DMH, JCAHO and the local Board of Health are without violations or deficiencies.
