Oracle IT Security Analyst - Oracle GBU Security, Risk and Compliance in Frisco, Texas

Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.

Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Maintains security systems for routers and switches. Administers security policies to control access to systems. Maintains the company s firewall. Uses applicable encryption methods. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Prefer 8 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

ThisIT Security AnalystwithinOracle's Global Business Unit's Security, Risk and Compliance organization will have experience in projectmanaging and reporting on critical technical and security related initiativesas well as collecting and disseminating information across multiple teams andlines of business. The candidate will be comfortable communicating andpresenting status to executives in verbal, written, and graphic presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Track and report on remediation activitiesresulting from Internal or External assessments and audits

  • Track and report on progress of criticalinitiatives

  • Ownership for Management Reporting includingQuarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Define, document, maintain, and communicate newsecurity requirements as they are being introduced

  • Generate meaningful and professional metrics

  • Other ad-hoc projects as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess technical acumen and the ability tounderstand and interpret technical specifications

  • Possess an understanding of Information Technologysecurity standards and Information Technology risk management

  • Have excellent verbal, written, and graphiccommunication skills

  • Have proficiency in utilizing advanced functionsfor maintaining and creating spreadsheets and power point presentations

  • Have experience in documenting and communicatingnew requirements, standard operating procedures, etc.

  • Possess the ability to adjust and adapt tochanging priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Be able to multi-task, and be pro-active inaddressing issues and requests quickly

  • Possess Project Management skills

  • Must be capable of pulling information frompeople and sources in order to drive results

  • Be capable of analyzing data

  • Be willing to support a wide variety ofactivities (big or small)

  • Professional certification(s) related toinformation security desired
