Kelly Services Warehouse Mechanical Assemblers- 2nd Shift in Fridley, Minnesota

Kelly Services is looking for Mechanical Assemblers to work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product, mechanical in nature.

Responsibility level:

  • Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Team player and detail oriented.

Typically Required:

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use of air tools, power tools and hand tools to build out the engine adding electrical and mechanical components, plus the house for the generator.

  • Assemblers will read blueprints and schematics, other written or verbal instructions.

  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular-production process.

  • Determine work assignments and procedures.

  • Shovel and sweep work areas.

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts.

  • Provide-assistance in the production of wiring assemblies.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2-4 years of experience required.

  • Candidates must have their own steel toe shoes or boots.

  • Candidates must also have reliable transportation to and from work (there is a bus, but the schedule is limited so not a reliable source of transportation).
