Job Description

Specific Responsibilities and skills for Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Research Associate to support our internal research efforts to investigate new compounds for the functional cure of chronic HBV infection. He/she will be expected to analyze, interpret, document and present data, participate and provide input in internal meetings and share lab maintenance responsibilities with other members of biology team. Specifically, he/she will optimize and develop new biomarkers or resistance testing assays, support mechanism of action studies, and perform HBV drug resistance testing.

Essential Functions:

  • Must think critically and creatively and be able to work independently, determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems and have strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Be able to generate high quality of critical experimental data using excellent technical skills in molecular biology and cell culture

  • Maintains familiarity with scientific literature and applies appropriately to research projects.

  • Presents results of work, interprets data, and draws conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.

  • Uses strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to communicate objectives and results.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • BSc or MSc in microbiology or molecular biology.

  • 4 years of working experience is required.

  • Solid background and understanding of molecular biology and tissue culture technologies.
