Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Digital Learning is responsible for developing e-learning and electronic performance solutions that focus on building technical, business, and/or leadership capabilities for a variety of audiences. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the skill sets required for e-learning development and for in-house video recording, editing, and production.

Business Execution and Continuous Improvement

  • Develops digital/e-learning modules, videos and electronic performance solutions focused on building technical, business, and leadership capabilities (or a blend of these) for a variety of audiences, partners and professionals

  • Identifies relevant interactive design alternatives that will most effectively and efficiently accomplish business objectives and learning outcomes

  • Develops course content based on approved storyboards

  • Develops e-learning content using approved designs and defined styles and templates consistent with agreed-upon business and systems requirements

  • Develops components (e.g.,HTML, videos) for e-learning/web-based solutions

  • Runs pilot test programs for content based on test plans and resolves problems found in testing

  • Ensures that web-based learning modules comply with relevant tracking requirements

  • Develops video-based performance solutions including all aspects of planning, filming and editing

  • Supports the creation, maintenance and updates of tools, equipment, templates and processes related to digital learning solutions (including video-related solutions)

  • Sends materials for all required reviews and approvals

Participates in internal and external forums to

  • Maintain a high level of expertise in technology-based learning and associated tools

  • Share best practices with others

  • Leverage solutions cross-functionally

  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of learning and performance solutions through the use of technology and innovation

Relationship Management

  • Maintains ongoing, productive relationships with

  • SMEs (content providers, L&D knowledge)

  • External vendors, specifically related to translation of digital learning solutions and acquisition/maintenance of software tools utilized

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Completion of university/college degree

  • 4-5 years’ experience in L&D, with a focus on performance improvement and implementation in a global, complex matrix environment

  • Experience with adult learning principles

  • E- learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Go Animate or rapid development software)

  • Video development tools (e.g. filming-related equipment, editing software – Final Cut Pro)

  • Planning and prioritization skills

  • Ability to manage competing deliverables

  • Delivers exceptional client experiences and relevant solutions
