Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director of NASH Marketing, this role will be responsible for:

  • Driving development of US Selonsertib Brand Commercial Plan both Provider & Patient; strategy, messages, resources and tactical execution.

  • Partnering with Commercial Planning, Medical Affairs and Managed Markets on the development of Selonsertib positioning, creative campaign, messaging and logo; ensuring US perspective is well articulated and communicated.

  • Developing and delivering presentations to a range of internal (executives, US leadership team, sales) and external audiences (KOLs, Advisory Boards & Speaker Trainings).

  • Effectively translating scientific, clinical and market research data into strategies, messaging and tactical planning.

  • Hiring, developing, coaching and managing performance of direct reports as build out branded Provider and DTP promotions team.

  • Facilitating discussion and aligning cross-functional partners to latest thinking and US market strategy.

  • Working closely with PRC leadership team to manage timelines and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.

  • Overseeing agency relationships and ensuring that performance and spends are optimized.

  • Leading by example, respecting Gilead core values of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusion and Accountability.

  • Closely managing and achieving budget targets. Qualifications:

  • B.A. required (Masters of Business or other advanced degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • High performing in-line/strategic marketer with the ability to set a vision and provide clear direction across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience developing and using market research and clinical data to gain insights into market and to build forecasts.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional strategies.

  • Adept at forming and maintaining a collaborative work environment in and among cross functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with innovative mindset and ability to make critical decisions and recommendations among a range of strategic choices.

  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.

  • Proven leadership and management experience.

  • Track record of performance.

  • Must have an entrepreneurial mentality and be confident working within a fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

  • Firm command of financial management with an understanding of revenue forecasting and expense budget planning and tracking.

  • Must be able to travel as dictated by business need, including overnights and attendance at some nighttime and weekend programs.
