Job Description

The Internal Digital Communications Specialist will, in collaboration with learning and knowledge management team members, contribute to, and facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive internal marketing/ digital communications strategy to maximize user engagement throughout the Global Clinical/ Development Operations organization. This includes design and delivery across various digital communications platforms (internal facing websites, learning and onboarding portals, knowledge databases, newsletters and other email communications).

Key Accountabilities:

You will take part in the design and execution of a holistic and engaging user experience, facilitating creation of internal online marketing plans and programs, including email template design , campaign development, deployment, troubleshooting, reporting, and analysis.

You will be an active participant in team projects with a focus on campaign and strategy development for training, professional development and change communications initiatives; playing a key role in enabling a culture of learning and engagement across a diverse global organization of clinical development professionals.

Other responsibilities include:

Production and distribution of email communications (regular e-newsletters, email announcements, invitations, etc.).

Creation and maintenance of online editorial calendars for production of publications, email communications, home page, and other site content.

Management of digital databases as required, including annual data refreshes and content updates.

Success profile:

  • Email marketing expertise including experience working with email service provider tools such as MailChimp, and others

  • Experience with creation of digital magazines or eBooks leveraging InDesign or similar

  • Experience creating dynamic and engaging digital user experience; UI and/ or Graphic Design experience

  • Outstanding Communications with the ability to create and proof compelling copy and messaging

  • Proficiency in HTML plus strong working knowledge of CSS; ability to build HTML from a design file and knowledge of best practices for coding email-compliant HTML

  • Strong image editing skills using Photoshop or equivalent

  • Ability to manipulate text using UltraEdit or equivalent

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical experience is an advantage as is programming experience
