Registered Nurse – Inpatient Oncology
The Inpatient Oncology unit is located on the 2nd floor at Parkview Regional Medical Center. It is a 22 bed unit that primarily sees cancer patients going through active treatment under the care of an Oncologist, but sometimes some overflow Med Surg patients as well. It is a fast-paced, high acuity unit. Patients are very sick and are often moved to and from the ICU multiple times. Patients may stay in the unit for weeks at a time and typically have multiple admissions to the unit.
Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurses Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
Requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license is required. CPR certification.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with lifting 100 pounds. Lifting requirement may be heavier for
