Route Maintenance Technician

NATURE OF WORK

  • The route maintenance technician is responsible for general maintenance and specialty services provided to a group of service locations in a designated territory. Activities include: repairs in basic carpentry, specialty items such as doors, locks, door closures, equipment, painting, floor tech duties, carpet cleaning, pressure cleaning and general mechanical maintenance work.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Complete assigned work orders on facility finishes, furnishings and equipment in a timely manner

  • Respond to emergency requests on an as needed basis

  • Maintains a professional, safe and clean work environment

  • Complies with all Encompass Onsite Services and OSHA safety policies and regulations

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Encompass Onsite assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs

  • Tracking and reconciling all work orders along with parts used immediately via a PDA system

  • Maintain company van, inventory, and tools in a clean, professional manner at all times representative of our company expertise

  • Coordinate restock of vehicle

  • Meeting daily goals

  • Complies with all DMV laws and regulations

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3- 5 years experience in facility maintenance

  • High school diploma or technical school certification. Ability to follow all work orders in specified time allowances

  • Must hold a Valid Florida state issued drivers license and record in good standing

  • Must be able to provide a clean driving record without more than 2 driving offenses within the past 4 years

  • Ability to work flexible schedule according to work order demands

PREFERRED:

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact

  • Physical capability to include the ability to effectively use and operate various items of equipment that could include pressure washer, floor care machinery, carpet shampooer, basic carpentry tools and equipment

  • standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, or kneeling

  • Some reaching, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, crawling, and handling

  • In addition to tolerating a variety of conditions, you need to be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. and be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. daily

  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 10ft. off the ground

  • Occasional use of scissor lift up to second story level for pressure cleaning type of assignments

(none) Will only involve oversight of workers assigned to assist with task completion, non supervisory role
