Recruitment Coordinator - Human Resources

FTE: 1.0 (Full-time, 40 hours per week)

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

  • Develops an effective recruitment program. Coordinates the recruitment for approved positions using advertising, college recruiters, telephone and other means to locate qualified staff for Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group.

  • Conducts employment reference, work experience, background checks and education checks to ensure that the candidate meets the standards for Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group and other appropriate regulatory standards.

  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements and to provide information about the organization, benefits, and the position. Refers qualified applicants for additional interviews with hiring managers and others in the organization.

  • Assists in the compliance of the DNV Human Resources standards.

  • Responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the hospital wide orientation program for employees, volunteers, students, and contracted employees at Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group.

  • Evaluates trends in recruiting and the job market to recommend recruitment strategies at Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group.

  • Maintain manager and employee confidence and protect reputations by keeping information confidential.

  • Assists in the development of department objectives and goals.

  • Participates in committees and attends other meetings as requested by manager.

  • Verifies and maintains log of job related/required licensures, certifications, and registrations of non-nursing staff (i.e., Radiology Tech, Pharmacist).

  • Assists in the writing of job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others at Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group.

  • Coordinates and administers Tuition Assistance Program for employees of Trinity Regional Medical Center.

  • Gathers data used in preparation of annual Affirmative Action Plans for Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group, including Adverse Impact Analysis, Applicant Logs, and Workforce Analysis.

  • Maintains records of applications and resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection.

  • Updates and maintains online job postings on hospital and clinic websites and assists managers in submitting requisitions, accessing applications, and notifying applicants not selected for open positions.

  • Coordinates communication with applicants, including offers of employment, pre-employment physical and screening process, job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information. Arranges travel and lodging as needed for out-of-town applicants.

  • Coordinates new hire process, including new hire forms, paperwork and benefit enrollment for new employees, volunteers, and contracted employees of Trinity Regional Medical Center and Trimark Physicians Group.

  • Develops and maintains network of contacts, including schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to help identify and source qualified candidates and initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.

  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.

  • Assists management staff in filling short term openings or per diem needs by working with temp agencies as needed to locate qualified staff.

  • Writes and places job advertising in various media including newspapers and journals, online sources and college job posting services. Develops and coordinates internal job postings.

  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and work at various college and community job fairs. Makes public presentations at schools and organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.

  • Evaluates selection and placement process by conducting research or follow-up activities and conferring with management and supervisory personnel.

  • Maintains and updates positions in Infinium data base, including new job codes and positions.

  • Performs periodic audit of employee and contracted employee files to ensure compliance with DNV standards.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:

Three years in a related area required.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work effectively with others, solve problems, think creatively, and communicate effectively and implement change in a positive manner. Ability to organize. Possess integrity, initiative, flexibility and good interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of labor relations and employment laws and regulations.
