Job Description Summary:

You shape the guest’s restaurant experience by engaging with them to find out their preferences. Your knowledge of the menu exceeds expectations while your make recommendations to deliver the perfect selection to the guest. What are we looking for? Job Description:

REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School or equivalent education. Two years experience as a food service in a full-service restaurant is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to stand for 8 hours

Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal

Command of the English language, written and verbal

Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.

Must be able to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage guests to choose items that are house specialties.

Good hearing

Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.

Able to lift trays of food or food items up to 30 pounds.

Command of the English language, written and verbal.

Must be able to multi-task effectively and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Serve food and/or beverages to include the order-taking and delivery of any food and/or beverage items in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner resulting in a high level of guest satisfaction. Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness. Perform various side duties as outlined by the restaurant supervisor. Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness using suggestive selling techniques. Record the details of the order from the guests, maintaining superior accuracy. Input of orders into Point of Sale computer which sends the order to the kitchen. Retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirming accuracy of order, and delivery of orders along with appropriate condiments. Abide by state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction. Control guest checks and secure proper payment. Additional duties as assigned.
