We are currently seeking a talented IT Operations Manager that can oversee the direct operations of our technical engineers, technicians, and helpdesk staff. Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Operations Manager is charged with the overall health of the company's IT functions as well as managing the staff that support it.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise and direct the operations of technical engineers, technicians, and help desk staff
Conduct employee reviews and skills assessments
Manage and maintain hardware, software, networking, and telecommunication systems to ensure quick access to information
Protect business networks against attacks from outside sources
Set up remote network access for users using virtual private networking techniques or two-factor authentication
Monitor network performance to notify networking engineers of network resource issues
Oversee the management and licensing of computer/mobile device software applications
Set up and configure servers for the management of applications and IT systems
Ensure all applications have access to disk storage, backup and archiving
Oversee the installation, configuration and management of applications on company approved devices
Oversee the set up and configuration of an organization’s email and file servers
Manage equipment floor space and operational requirements such as air conditioning, battery and power supply
Conduct internal audits to verify the security and efficiency of an organization’s network and networked computers
Perform periodic backup of information and data to ensure recovery in event of system breakdown
Liaison between Operations, Technical Services, and Application teams
Required SkillsRequired Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related disciplines. Background knowledge in finance or accounting is preferred.
10+ years of experience in related field with a minimum of 5 years managing a team.
Must have a demonstrated understanding and proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems and equipment.
Experience with M4/M3 and Citrix a significant plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Prior experience working in a manufacturing or distribution company a plus.
