The Hertz Corporation Corporate Counsel - Real Estate in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

The Corporate Counsel - Real Estate Attorney works closely with colleagues in the Law Department and with various business and functional units on a broad range of land use matters. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Negotiates Hertz’s position with opposing counsel for leases, license agreements, amendments and other related contracts. Prepares, reviews, and analyzes the appropriate legal documents.

  • Advises and handles daily issues regarding lease interpretation and enforcement of lease provisions. Counsels and resolves disputes, and lease interpretation issues, and answers questions for members of other departments.

  • Researches, reviews, and provides counsel and advice regarding various real estate litigation cases brought by or against Hertz.

  • Addresses issues regarding real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.

  • Supports the development and improvement of contracting processes.

  • Assists with other matters as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

J.D. with strong academic credentials. Required to be admitted to the bar and in good standing in Florida, or admitted to the bar and in good standing in another state and eligible for limited licensure of in-house counsel in Florida.
