Keystone Insurers Group Commercial Lines Account Manager in Emmaus, Pennsylvania

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Client Services-Commercial Lines, to provide our commercial line customers with proactive management/services of their insurance program by obtaining, maintaining, and expanding the services of your accounts.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of processes for providing customer and personal services, principles and methods for promoting and selling products

  • Must display a positive attitude at all time with clients and employees

  • Understanding of insurance coverage forms, carrier products and limited underwriting guidelines

  • Knowledge and ability to use individual company software and programs to service accounts

  • Ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to listen and speak effectively to others

  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize workload

     

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Gather the needed information for each quote, enter the quote data into the agency provided quoting software, discuss results with individual sales teams

  • Prepare complete applications, obtain signatures when instructed and issue policies as directed by the sales teams

  • Represent the agency in a professional, ethical and courteous manner that is consistent with the image of the agency

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to retain business

  • Receive & return calls in a timely and courteous manner, providing a positive sales experience

  • Actively solicit and develop additional lines of business to the agency

  • Enter data into computer for use in managing the account

  • Maintain a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, insurance carriers and business contacts and represent the agency in an ethical and professional manner

  • Document each interaction with a customer in our agency management system and attach emails and documents in accordance with agency procedures

  • Consistently look to prioritize the placing of business with Keystone core carriers

  • Gather needed information and quote all applicable insurance carriers through the agencies rating software

  • Perform account transactions including, but not limited to quotations, applications and binders for New Business & Rewrites

  • Responds to all customers promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously

  • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information

  • Prepare and complete questionnaires, documents and adjust accounts in accordance to agency procedures and standards

  • Travel to other office locations to assist the sales teams as needed

  • If needed, remain logged into workgroup 111

  • Any other duties, responsibilities or activities as assigned.

     

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma

Property and Casualty License

Life and Health License

Professional designation encouraged

             3 years of insurance experience required

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing and/or moving around the office is required

· Visual skills to read and interpret reports and data recording

· Hearing and speaking skills are required

· This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines

· Regular use of Applied EPIC management system, Microsoft Word and Excel

· Fast paced office environment with significant telephone and interoffice activity

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will not supervise any employees.
