The division advances patient care with diagnostic solutions to improve disease detection and management, and simplify laboratory operations.

Execute sourcing initiatives for Grifols US locations, focused on negotiating CAPEX services/equipment and OPEX engineering and facility site services. Key deliverables are to drive savings through complex vendor negotiations, Legal contracting, SOWs, RFPs, while managing vendor quality using the 7 step strategic sourcing methodology.

Major Activities:

Key Categories: Construction/Manufacturing Services & Equipment, R&D, Facilities and Engineering teams.

  • Conduct competitive RFPs for Indirect goods and services using Grifols eSourcing platform

  • Manage key categories over time to ensure vendor performance and cost savings

  • Train end users on Procurement Policy, procedure, and P2P technology

  • Perform ongoing SAP data/spend analysis to build preferred supplier base

  • Execute Contracts for Facility services, R&D, Maintenance, Equipment, & Lab Supplies

  • Draft Legal Agreements and SOW documents based on stakeholder requirements

  • Collaborate with global organization and U.S. site Procurement leads to run large scale RFPs

  • Build and continuously update/maintain local market strategies

  • Drive Procurement improvements for vendor management, ERP workflow, and spend analytics

  • Negotiate/re-negotiate national and local Legal contracts for complex goods and services

  • Partner with Legal team to review Legal and Commercial terms and pricing

  • Qualify preferred goods and services suppliers for key categories

  • Conduct ongoing Procurement training for stakeholders, management and vendors

  • Drive measurable cost savings and report to Procurement Director monthly

  • Manage supplier performance risks on a timely basis to stakeholder satisfaction

  • Review Finance budgets and partner with stakeholders to ensure Procurement Policy compliance

  • Provide stakeholder support on SAP/SRM R2P, RFP, RFI, and Supplier recommendations

  • Administer and train Procurement & Financial Policies to both local and remote stakeholders

  • Analyze SAP PO spend relating to key vendors to build preferred Master Agreements

  • Solid familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.

Education:

BA/BS at a minimum required; MBA desirable

Experience:

  • 5 – 7 years’ procurement experience

  • 2 years’ Procurement experience required within R&D, Facility Services, Maintenance, Lab Supplies

  • Demonstrated understanding of SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
