This position is responsible directing, planning and managing essential services available to employees at the Grifols Emeryville Site. Responsible for the development and provision of reliable and cost effective services required to maintain Emeryville Site personnel and corporate assets in a safe, clean, productive and compliant state.

Primary responsibilities for role:

  • Champion safety for all aspects of services provided

  • Manage and evaluate performance for staff in department. Communicate performance expectations, monitor performance in light of these expectations, delegate assignments, provide opportunity for cross training and the development of skills and counsel on performance problems.

  • Participate in planning and policy formulation by providing information regarding function needs or problem areas.

  • Manage contracts and contractors engaged in support to provide Site Services including janitorial, landscaping, cafe, catering, print/copy, shuttle, switchboard, mailroom, conferencing, office signage, non-hazardous waste, UPS, FedEx, OfficeMax and managed print services and various facilities projects.

  • Administer Facilities Services budget including planning, monitoring, forecasting, approving invoices, and accruals for equipment, supplies and services utilized within the department.

  • Write and enforce department operating procedures to ensure that all safety, regulatory and legal requirements are adhered to.

  • Manage Facilities Services SharePoint website content, workflow and edits.

  • Meet regularly with Customers to confirm their requirements are being met.

  • Develop, prepare and distribute routine KPI reports and special reports as required.

Education:

BA/BS in Management, Electronics or Engineering

Experience:

  • 5 years experience within a heavily regulated industry such as Pharmaceutical, High Tech, Airlines or Military

  • Experience in the development and management of Service Contracts is preferred.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Equivalency:

Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
