ConsumerTrack is looking for a dynamic, experienced Ad Ops leader to improve and expand our AdOps team and strategy. The Advertising Operations Senior Managerworks with internal teams (Sales, Media, Analytics, Design, Tech, and Product) and external groups (Publishers, Agencies, and Clients) to lead and scale the end to end ad management process: sales planning, order management, trafficking, campaign management, inventory management, media ops and final reporting. This role manages Ad Trafficking, Campaign Management and Technical Ad Ops. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, process-driven, and a master at follow-up and follow-through.

The Advertising Operations Senior Manager, reporting to the COO, will lead ad ops innovation, revenue growth, and process improvement efforts. This person is a solutions-oriented problem-solver who isn’t afraid to get hands-on to reach the best answer or resolve an issue. This role sits at the crossroads of supply, demand and data, which will make this role central to the development of innovative ad tech solutions.


  • Lead, manage, and train the Ad Operations team, setting and measuring quarterly department goals.

  • Recruit and on-board high performing individuals to improve and grow the team.

  • Create positive, solutions focused culture through high communication and collaboration, continuous training and recognition of success.

  • Constantly assess and optimize processes to improve performance, quality of work and timeliness while also ensuring we align to IAB standards.

  • Maintain optimized Ad Taxonomy for our O&O sites to allow Data and Analytics teams to maximize data for reporting and automation.

  • Build processes and train teams to empower individuals, limit human error and evangelize team knowledge on all context around campaigns, on-boarding, opportunities and department goals.

  • Work with Analytics and cross-functional team to optimize campaign performance and profitability.

  • Provide team oversight to guarantee accurate campaign set up, trafficking, campaign optimization and data output.

  • In house expert in ad tracking and tagging. Work with ad ops tech lead to facilitate conversations with clients and publishers around tags, pixels and tracking. Educate internal teams and evangelize best practices for tracking and troubleshooting.

  • Own Incident Management, advising on business impact and incident resolutions


  • 5-8+ years’ experience in digital Ad Operations working with a variety of ad serving and data technologies

  • 5+ years building and managing a team handling high-volume digital campaign operations (Onsite and remote teams), including direct hiring responsibilities.

  • Highly detail oriented, obsessed with accuracy, a strong critical thinker and problem solver, and able to juggle and project manage multiple projects/clients

  • Strong experience across digital platforms – Including multiple ad serving platforms (Google Ad Manager, Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek, etc), viewability & verification vendors (IAS, DoubleVerify, etc.), Tag Management Systems (GTM, Adobe, etc.) and programmatic (DMPs, DSPs, Exchanges)

  • Expert-level understanding of performance-based digital advertising campaigns (CPA/CPC, Mobile/desktop, display and native) and familiar with post-click attribution tracking and optimizations.

  • Experience using proprietary or custom tools and adept at learning new systems quickly while providing feedback for system improvements.

  • Technical experience setting up and troubleshooting different tracking solutions: pixels, ad tags, rich media integrations, query string parameters, etc. Ability to explain complex and technical issues to varied audiences, both internal and external.

  • Experience making operational decisions based off financial analysis. Some experience in Finance or Analytics is a plus.

  • Proficient in basic HTML, data structures, and Advanced MS Excel.

  • Experience working in Salesforce.
