Fairview Health Services Patient Care Supervisor - Emergency Department in Edina, Minnesota
The Patient Care Supervisor (also referred to as Assistant Nurse Manager or Shift Coordinator) is responsible for assisting the Manager with department operations in the Emergency Department at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina , MN. This includes supervision of personnel and projects as delegated, including but not limited to hiring, discipline and performance evaluations.
Hours: Mostly evenings/nights with occassional day shifts.
Supervises staff on the patient care unit.
Assists in managing the day-to-day or shift-to-shift operations.
Focuses on patients and other customers
Acts as a role model
Assists with managing fiscal operations of the unit.
Collaborates with Nursing and Provider leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice.
Collects and analyzes quality data and utilizes process improvements methodology to insure delivery of safe and quality patient care.
Demonstrates skills/abilities in provision of patient care.
Creates an environment that advances evidence-based practice.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or services adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Minnesota RN license
Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers
Previous ED RN experience
- Previous supervisory, Charge, Preceptor, general leadership experience
