Your job will be to make the business work smoothly and effectively. You will be engaging with people in the business to identify issues they are facing and finding IT solutions.

With the support of your colleagues you will be working with people in the business to solve problems, develop new solutions and support our continuous drive for improvement.

  • You will assist with the support, development and deployment of IT systems used by the business units within the Renishaw Group, both in the UK and overseas. These currently include the SyteLine Manufacturing, Sage ERP and Sage CRM packages along with associated software and in-house developed applications.

  • You will work closely with staff at all levels and in many areas of the business to provide appropriate and cost-effective IT solutions that satisfy the business requirements.

  • You will undertake multiple elements of the systems development lifecycle including requirements analysis, systems analysis, package configuration, systems design, software development, testing, implementation and support.

Key Responsibilities

A demonstrable level of aptitude and interest for this ‘hands on’ technical IT role is important. A STEM degree would be a good indicator to us but isn’t mandatory. Other candidates could be of interest to us too, such as those with strong A-Levels or people who can prove their technical abilities in other ways.

Desired Requirements

Experience working in an IT department, in a technical role on an IT implementation project, or any other relevant experience in Manufacturing/Finance/Distribution would be useful.

Skills in, or previous experience with, ERP systems, CRM, Transact-SQL, SSRS reports, and/or Systems Analysis would be an advantage but are not mandatory for the right candidate.

Although we are ideally looking for a person with experience, for the right individual looking to start an IT career, we are open to taking you on as a trainee and to help you grow into this role.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join an experienced team. You should have good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to solve problems in pressure situations. There will be an occasional requirement to travel to other Renishaw sites within Gloucestershire, the UK, and/or overseas.
