LinkedIn's Digital Strategy & Operations team is looking for candidates to support the first pillar of the "right person, right message, right time" relevance credo. This role is laser-focused on enabling our marketing teams to reach the right audiences for their campaigns across ad, web and email channels using advanced database skills and experience in optimizing marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Execute audience targeting logic (list pulls) for campaigns supporting LinkedIn's Consumer acquisition and customer programs using distributed SQL variants (Apache Hive, Presto).

  • Author and maintain Hive query logic for audience targeting variables and automated list pulls.

  • Evaluate and prioritize project requests and enhance their intake process.

  • Improve campaign KPIs by collaborating on and applying targeting optimization techniques and AB test setup.

  • Partner with engineering, marketing and analytics teams to achieve and surpass business goals.

  • Design system-first processes to scale targeting resources, including defining and leading implementation of enhancements to our internal targeting tools.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience targeting audiences for marketing use cases, both ad-hoc and automated; including data integration with CRM or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Responsys, Eloqua, Exact Target, Marketo, Salesforce.com)

  • BA/BS Degree

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Hive and Presto

  • Experience with Basic command of Unix commands/shell scripting

  • Proven aptitude for assimilating new technologies and processes

  • Proven ability to break down and diagnose issues, then identify and rapidly deploy solutions

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Demonstrable self-awareness and emotional intelligence

  • Collaborative mindset: you enjoy working with, learning from, and sharing knowledge with peers and counterparts

  • Experience with machine learning tools and concepts a plus
