Job Purpose:

An opportunity has become available within the Defect Management team to primarily focus on managing the defects on the credit card systems.

The Defect Management team is the point of contact for all Defect status related queries. The Defect Process is owned, developed and supported by our team. As a Defect Manager you will be required to learn and support all aspects of the Defect Process and offer guidance to the software development and operational teams as and when required. The team are responsible to scope and develop efficiencies and improvements throughout their own processes and aid development in wider teams

FXLM-TTS Joint Venture to streamline Cross Border Funds transfer and provide a simple and frictionless experience for clients across all channels

Citi’s new Global Cross Border Payments and FX Digital ecosystem will be future-proofed through a modular design; it will optimize transaction and FX processing, eliminate friction and enable faster time-to-market and deliver next generation of digital payments.

Job Responsibilities / Role:

The requirements and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:

• The successful management and timely delivery of all phase code releases into both UAT and Production environments

• Definition, ownership and management of the Defect Process.

• To proactively manage and take ownership of all defects through the SIT and UAT test phases.

• To proactively manage overlaps between defects being released over one phase against new code drops for the next phase of the program.

• Maintaining absolute integrity of the defect database and ensuring a full audit trail for any changes made to defect status outside of the published defect process.

• To own and chair daily defect calls with lead Development, Test and Operational Teams, and to provide clear minutes and actions.

• The management and control of all defects within the in-house development environments.

• To act as the central point of liaison, communications and coordination between technical teams and other stakeholders throughout the defect and code releases across both the TTS and FXLM business.

• To maintain overall control and accountability for the schedule and the delivery of expected deliverables.

• To actively manage scope changes and the impact to the overall plan.

• To demonstrate knowledge of the underlying technology stack and supported/related business area.

• To build and maintain effective relationships with partners across Technology, Operations and Product.

• Identify issues, risks, dependencies and assumptions to ensure accurate planning;




• Exceptional Interpersonal and relationship building Skills

• Experience of delivering complex TECHNOLOGY projects involving multiple stakeholders across different geographical locations with a significant amount of uncertainty.

• Previous experience in, and knowledge of the TTS, FX businesses.

• Proven ability to manage multiple application teams in an IT environment.

• An expert and creative problem solver and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing and uncertain environment.

• Strong technical background – able to come up to speed and understand differing technologies quickly.


• Degree level or higher specifically within a finance or

technology related field

• Extensive years working in a finance role or technology role ideally within the Foreign Exchange space
