What you'll be doing

  • Working with internal/external customers & third party suppliers to drive seamless deployment of new customer solutions and the ongoing improvement of existing solutions,driving exceptional delivery experience for your customers.

  • Working with the Design, Product and Delivery Excellence teams on new Product Launches, feed in Network Build requirements & assist in shaping product evolution to make products fit for purpose with streamlined processes.

  • Engaging with the Design team to simplify the network and proactively drive automation of the plan and build tasks where possible.

  • Working on projects / bid related tasks, representing the team to assess workload,resources requirement and feed into implementation & project plans.

  • Identifying and resolving potential technical issues at the technical validation stage to ensure issues are resolved prior to entering the delivery process.

  • Undertaking complex problem diagnosis and resolution of customer issues identified during RTT/migrations of services.

  • Managing a queue of delivery work into the team – work on and distribute orders to team members, ensure orders are worked on in order of priority and meeting agreed SLA’s and quality standards.

  • Working on Technical projects/delivery support tasks independently with minimal guidance. ( Working alone or as part of a wider project/support team, managing and delivering on specific tasks.)

  • Driving continuous improvement that will help drive efficiency, reduce cost and improve customer experience.

  • Acting as a source of technical expertise to others in own area and across the business.

  • Identifying skills gaps within the team and proactively coach and mentor other team members to improve their skills.

  • Performing manual configurations on BT MPLS PE routers in accordance with BT NCCA guidelines, procedures and method statements, and strict adherence to the BTGS Network Activity Policy and Planned Engineering Works Policy.

  • Participating in an on-call rota to support out of hours scheduled customer delivery.

We'll also need to see these on your CV

  • CCNP Or NRS2 Certified, strong expertise with BGP, OSPF and related routing protocols.

  • Stakeholder Management.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and is able to explain difficult concepts to a variety of audiences to ensure that the meaning is understood.

  • Excellent organisational & time-management skills. Ability to deliver to tight timescales.

  • Display innovative thinking by acting on own initiative to identify & resolve problems and drive continuous improvement.
