Marketing Manager, Patient Recovery - MEA

Working in collaboration with Sales Managers, the position is responsible for the development and execution of Regional Marketing Strategies in the Middle East & Africa. The Marketing Manager will track progress of product offering, pricing, positioning, distribution and promotion to drive the overall success of the business.

Based in Dubai

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the target market relative to the position of the product group to quantify achievable sales and profit potential for the product line

• Develop and recommend short and long-range strategy for the marketing of assigned products. This includes working with regional and country sales managers to identify new product line extension opportunities

• Own, customize and deploy marketing strategies in ME to achieve business plan and profitability goals

• Build strong relationships with key centers, key opinion leaders and physicians’ across ME to identify, develop and expose procedure/product champions

• Ensure that appropriate systems & processes are in place to control and monitor implementation of plans to ensure that marketing objectives, as outlined in the annual marketing plan and/or individual product promotional plans, are met

• Write and implement product launch plans, which include specific guidelines with respect to market opportunity, product positioning sales message, sales strategy, sales pricing, inventory and sales promotion. • Be the point of contact on behalf of the Business Unit with the following stakeholders: Finance, Supply chain & logistics, regulatory, Prof Ed. and EMEA marketing to ensure smooth business operation and flawless accomplishment of the business unit plan

• Initiate and/or coordinate market research to determine unmet needs, product requirements, acceptance, market trends and forces, success of promotional campaign

• Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, processes, promotional activities, and corporate strategies. Develop relationships with industry opinion leaders to anticipate and act on changes in demand and buying behaviors

• Participate in industry symposia, medical meetings, and monitor the industry's business, and clinical publications

• Constantly monitor and control business unit expenditures to ensure they are within approved budget limits • Assume forecasting responsibilities by maintaining 15-month rolling forecasts and review inventory levels regularly on assigned product line items. Forecast has to be by product code and with alignment with sales team

• Proactively manage product life cycle by obsolescing specific SKU’s and developing promotional strategies appropriate for the product's life cycle stage

• Engagement with HCC, Regulatory Affairs and Quality to ensure compliance with internal policies and Codes of Practice

• Monitoring and reporting: monthly provide a comprehensive report to the BUD on the progress toward the implementation of the marketing strategy and the overall performance of the business unit

• Own the local activities in the markets, internal business unit meetings and the product training for the sales team in alignment with the source company

• Set the pricing strategy for the business unit and ensure the best profitability for big tenders

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience :

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Demonstrated results and experience in Medical Products Marketing, having launched products and marketing campaigns into local regions
  • Minimum of 5 years healthcare marketing experience with a medical products company.
  • Demonstrates in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in product/market management in Europe
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time
  • Deep understanding of healthcare in Middle East & Africa markets
  • Analytical thinking: systematic gathering, organization and synthesizing of relevant information.
  • Results achievement: ability to identify and respond quickly to opportunities and difficulties, or to take action including organizing future intended action
  • Customer and Marketplace: ability and desire to anticipate and address the needs of customers (internal or external) and take action to meet their needs
  • Knowledge – Industry/Business/Clinical: knowledge and understanding of the business, its vision, mission, strategies, products, procedures and services as well as of the trends impacting the medical device industry.

  • Creativity: propensity to think outside the box in order to achieve optimal awareness engagement and improve uptake of new ideas and strategies.
