The Visual Designer is responsible for the creation of all branded and digital visual design, UI design, and multi-media assets for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine that deliver against business objectives.

The Visual Designer will be part of the marketing communications team and supports channels including: email, web/UX, paid media, social media, and new/emerging media working closely with departmental colleagues and cross-functionally.

  • Responsible for the design of emails, banner advertisements, landing pages, web pages, documents, and social graphics.

  • Responsible for keeping all visual designs within brand standards.

  • Work with third party agency partners on design deliverables and enforcing brand standard implementation.

  • Digital design and branding for social media platforms and graphic support for social posts.

  • Develop wireframes to communicate the design function of new web page templates.

  • Digital design and branding for social media platforms and graphic support for social posts.Develop new design solutions across web, tablet and mobile experiences.

  • Conform marketing brief/scripts into thematic visual stories for videos and motion graphics.

  • Create a regular cadence of new multi-media assets for recruitment and lead generation.

  • Staying current with design and web industry trends sharing best practices.

  • Participate in marketing and cross-functional meetings.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.   • Bachelor’s degree in a visually creative field (graphic design, multimedia digital art, web/UX design, or equivalent)

  • 5+ years digital marketing design

  • Fluent in HTML, CSS and e-mail production standards

  • Fundamental understanding of Content Management Systems

  • Proficiency with a Macintosh computer and creative programs (Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Indesign)

  • Proficient video editing skills in Adobe Premiere CC

  • Knowledge in storyboarding, animation/motion graphics, visual effects and video editing

  • Excellent project management skills required

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Strong teaming and collaboration skills required

  • Deadline focused

  • Photography and/or videography experience a plus

Must submit a visual design portfolio to be considered.
