Security Pre-sales Engineer for Mid-Market and Channel

As a Presales Engineer, you'll be working closely with the sales and channel team to provide solutions to key customers and partners within your region. With the ability to liaise at C- Level, you'll evangelize our portfolio and help to move the business forward with a consultative approach to the sales process. With a strong technical focus, you'll provide the insight necessary for the customer to understand how we can solve their security problems.

You’ll be working with enterprise customers, partnering with sales to drive revenue within the Benelux region, predominantly Belgium and Luxembourg. This is an end user as well as channel role where you will frequently interact with the customer and partners in large deals which are essential to the success of the Benelux team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver technical briefings, presentations, and demonstrations.

  • Organise the delivery of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in the security technology, via a local Product Specialist and manage the customer’s success criteria.

  • Gain Technical closure from the customer that products meet the client’s requirements and assist the sales in technical qualification and management of the opportunities throughout the technical sales cycle, leveraging the virtual teams where applicable.

  • Proactively seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts that the candidate is or has been engaged with and seeking to carry out security assessments.

  • Articulate and demonstrate Symantec solutions, and position products relative to competition.

  • Write technical white papers and own the technical response to RFI/RFP.

  • Acts as a Symantec product advocate

  • Be the customer’s and partner's go-to person for technical queries and to manage support escalations in Symantec products

  • Aspire to be the customer’s trusted advisor in Cyber security and/or Information Risk & Governance

  • Drive channel growth through relationships

What we're looking for:

  • Passion for Cyber Security is essential

  • Fluency in French and English.

  • Previous experience working with Endpoint Protection, EDR, Cloud security solutions..

  • Experience with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, as well as services like Windows Active Directory, DNS, Email are required

  • Understand High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts as apply to Network and Security designs

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructures, like AWS and Azure as apply to Cloud security strategy.

  • If you've previously worked with the Symantec Security portfolio, that would be advantageous

  • The ability to present to customers/partners and previous experience doing so is a must

  • You should be able to navigate and manage technical issues within an account with ability to map technical and commercial value to broader business concerns/goals within the engagement

  • The ability to map technical and commercial value to longer term business goals within customer environment

  • Experience driving partner relationships and training partners in our solutions

  • Preferred : Industry accreditations such as CISSP, ITIL, CCSK, VT
