The Finance Cost Allocation Center of Excellence (Enterprise Cost) team is focused on the transformation of Wells Fargo costing approaches by driving more efficient costing processes, as well as effective utilization of cost data, including enhanced transparency and management insights.

Enterprise Cost is accountable for managing the Wells Fargo costing framework through:

• Leadership of various enterprise-wide costing governance councils

• Delivery of the operating model focused on cost allocation and consulting including: regulatory/statutory requirements and insightful cost analysis

• Consolidation and standardization of toolsets and reporting

The Role

This * Finance Consultant* role will provide consultative advice on the development of cost allocation methodologies in support of management reporting and Resolution & Recovery Planning (RRP) for various Wells Fargo lines of business (LOBs). This position will utilize tools such as CVR, Essbase and CAS in the development of more efficient, effective and transparent INIE and lead key analytics like cost spend and recovery. These responsibilities will enable insightful conversations between service providers and service consumers that support profitability analysis, unit cost trending, and regulatory/statutory requirements.

As a team member of the Enterprise Cost COE, this role will support the financial maturity and transformation of costing across the organization.

Specifically, the Finance Cost Consultant role will:

• Drive the creation of cost methodologies with a focus on methodologies that support both Management Reporting and Resolution Planning

• Create standards around the allocation of shared services and the subsequent requirements in CVR, Essbase and CAS

• Partner with and educate the DNIE teams supporting the various Wells Fargo LOBS and support groups to ensure that the teams have a strong sense of teamwork to accomplish the goals of the COE

• Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support various LOB questions related to their overall consumption of INIE

• Assess the existing INIE methodologies in place and determine where advances can be made to further support greater transparency and to simplify the cost allocation approach

• Maintain a balance between operational efficiency, effectiveness and risk mitigation

• Provide ongoing participation with the various cost advisory councils and enterprise-wide communication forums

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships

  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial allocation and costing systems
