CACI International System Test Engineer in Denver, Colorado
What You’ll Get to Do:
Under limited supervision, provide required support for the build, test, and delivery of custom communications solutions. Assess requirements, define complex and detailed test strategies and clearly communicate strategies to stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with hardware and software development engineers to design and write detailed test plans to provide necessary test coverage
Design and develop test automation framework to be leveraged for test script development.
Provide technical and administrative support for test frameworks and tools.
Be able to develop automated test scripts for defined test coverage
Automate end-to-end tests, smoke tests, and regression test suites
Clearly communicate test strategies, including build and test integration process
Perform manual and automated test execution within a lab environment
Effectively document identified defects and collaborate with engineers on characterization
Use test equipment to instrument required testing environments. (e.g. protocol analyzers, cellular test equipment.)
Ability to work within build and integration systems for product development delivery cadence
Support the provisioning and testing of specific customer deliverables
Communicate test results to customers and stakeholders
Act as the Point of Contact for all test related issues for assigned project
Travel to other CACI locations or customer sites as necessary
Local, offsite project work may be required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications and skills:
Experience with automated script development within test frameworks or operating systems
Experience with test case management systems (e.g. Testlink, Zephyr, Testopia)
Experience with defect and issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)
Experience with multiple operating systems (e.g. Linux. Microsoft, iOS)
Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Knowledge of desktop application software. (e.g. Microsoft Office, Openoffice, iWork)
Contribute positively as a team member within a dynamic work environment
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently within a small team
Ability to perform effectively within short time constraints
Self-teaching, with the ability to learn quickly
Provide flexibility to move between and support multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline and up to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education, and experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Knowledge of automated test strategies, techniques, and 3rd party tools
Knowledge of object oriented software design through high level languages
Automated test development and scripting skills (e.g. shell, bash, test frameworks)
ISO/OSI protocol stacks, TCP/IP networking, and cellular system wireless protocols
Knowledge of agile development process within a scrum or Kanban team
Understanding of continuous integration frameworks (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)
Use of source code management tools (e.g. git, repo, Perforce )
Knowledge of test instrumentation (e.g. Spectrum Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers)
Knowledge of software based analytic tools (e.g. tcpdump, Wireshark)
Familiarity with virtualization platforms and containers (e.g. VMware, Docker)
