CACI International Software Engineer – Test Automation in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do: Under limited supervision, provide required support for the build, test, and delivery of custom communications solutions and test automation framework.

More About this Role:

  • Using object-oriented programming, design and develop an automation framework

  • Architect new functionality of an automation framework

  • Define interfaces between different functional blocks of code and write the code to support the interfaces

  • Write unit tests to validate functionality of new framework code

  • Adhere to coding standards and follow software engineering best practices

  • Experience and knowledge of source code management tools

  • Understanding of software design principles

  • Participate in code reviews

  • Collaborate and develop on our SW solutions to fulfill direct customer tasking

  • Collaborate with product development engineers, design and write detailed test plans to provide necessary test coverage

  • Automate end-to-end tests, smoke test, and regression test suite

  • Develop automated test scripts for defined test coverage

  • Ability to work within build and integration systems for product development delivery cadence

  • Support the provisioning and testing of specific customer deliverables

  • Communicate test results to customers and stakeholders

  • Provide technical and administrative support for test frameworks and test tools

  • Support a culture with high standards of operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Travel to other CACI locations or customer sites as necessary

  • Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies

  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to CACI EH&S policies and procedures

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience

Required Skills:

  • Experience with one or more of Python/C++/C/Java

  • Experience with multiple operating systems (e.g. Linux. Microsoft, iOS)

  • Knowledge of automated test techniques, an understanding of software design principles, and of object-oriented programming

  • Knowledge of software design and development using high-level languages

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Knowledge of agile development process within a scrum or Kanban team

  • Knowledge of test instrumentation (e.g. Spectrum Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers)

  • Knowledge of software based analytic tools (e.g. tcpdump, Wireshark)

  • Knowledge of continuous integration frameworks (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)

  • Knowledge of source code management tools (e.g. git, repo, Perforce )

  • Knowledge of interpreted software programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Perl)

  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms and containers (e.g. VmWare, Docker)

  • Automated test development and scripting skills (shell, bash, sed, awk, test frameworks)

  • ISO/OSI protocol stacks, TCP/IP networking, and cellular system wireless protocols.
