Job Summary:

A Sign Service Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and follow through of work orders to ensure our national clientele is provided the sign service they require. As a Coordinator, you do what is necessary to satisfy clientele and ensure work is produced on time and within the stated budget. You will be responsible for gathering the facts of the maintenance work requests from our sales team and our established clients. In addition, you will coordinate, negotiate and hire subcontractors throughout the U.S. You are responsible for the work order from start to finish. Attention to detail, follow up skills, professional phone etiquette, confidence, and determination are musts.

Duties and Expectations:

  • Works within a team environment to bring a project or scope of work to fruition

  • Creates and manages work processes to meeting the changing needs of our customers

  • Manages day to day aspects of service requests from our national accounts

  • Coordinates trades – gets a sign project designed, approved, estimated, planned, built, shipped, and installed

  • Manages project to within budgeted guidelines

  • Review site and shop drawings to ensure work matches specifications of work orders

  • Research and analyze historical data

  • Maintains database records for projects

  • Manages and provides regular reports to our customers

  • Follows through with invoicing processes

  • Rotating weekend on-call duty (1 weekend every two months)

Education, Experience or Specific Skills:

  • Associate degree in an industry related field or 2 yrs. experience in project management, logistics, construction, or similar field preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and coordination.

  • Experience in any combination of contract review and negotiation preferred

  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel

  • Ability to learn and adapt to an ever-changing environment

  • Good negotiations skills

  • Professional phone etiquette is required

  • Excellent communication skills; both verbally and written

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with Google Docs or Smartsheet’s a plus

  • Comfortable reviewing site or shop drawings

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn/understand technical information

  • Excellent communication and service skills are required; ability to understand and flex according to the customer’s needs
