What you will do:
Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts. Maintains system documentation Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May program in an administrative language. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. Provides advice and training to end-users. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.
What you will need:
At least 5 years of applicable experience Expertise in Bash / Shell script Should have experience in managing VMware Linux servers. . Experience in handling file system issues / request on Linux and Solaris. ( Candidate should have strong knowledge on Basics in all the area in files systems) Expert with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (including clustering with Red Hat Cluster Suite) Experience architecting and operating Oracle or Mysql DB infrastructure Experience using external storage on Red Hat using NFS and FC protocols Experience with centralized authentication using NIS and/or LDAP Windows server and workstation OS Domain Controllers (DC), Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Service (DNS) Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
