The EISD Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for the development of marketing communications strategies and timely creation and execution of communications assets, including such activities and deliverables as sales tools, collateral, marketing materials, email campaigns, social media, blogs and customer communications. In this role, you will be working with agency network partners and cross-functional Kodak resources. The Marcom Specialist ensures that the communications assets are created with adequate time allowed for the global and regional execution in market. The role is highly cross-functional, requiring strong relationships across the company and a broad understanding of the agency network, sector categories and region markets and customers.

While the focus of this role is Marketing Communications, the Marcom Specialist will also support the EISD Business Development and Marketing Team with administrative tasks in a more limited capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

Marcom Program/Deliverables Planning

  • Plans and develops communications assets that support EISD strategies, programs, campaigns

  • Works with Sales, Marketing Team, Agency Network partners, and CMO to create compelling marcom programs and assets that drive awareness in support of business objectives

  • Drives communication testing of new assets

  • Ensures that the development and creation of Marcom assets and customer communications are tracking to plan, reports production issues and works out solutions to ensure availability of deliverables for on-time execution

  • Ensures that all assets meet Kodak quality standards and brand and corporate/legal guidelines

  • Defines, tracks, and reports project metrics

  • Ensures all projects on schedule, within budget

  • Supports regional customer marketing managers with execution of regional events and demand generation activities as needed

  • Works to maximize Kodak participation for the greatest return on investment

    Budget Management and Agency/Vendor Management

  • Works with agency in prescribing the project and deliverable required—program/project goals and objectives, agency mandatories, timing expectations, etc.

  • Ensures agency projections for costs of deliverables are within budget guidelines and submits Marcom estimates and business justification for approval

  • Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices & ongoing expenditures to ensure adherence to budget

  • Effectively manages projects to maximize ROI as appropriate and evaluates ROI on programs and deliverable where practical

    Metrics

  • Marcom and brand standards and guidelines are in place and consistently executed

  • Marcom programs and assets delivered on-time, on-budget, on-strategy

  • Metrics, including ROI analysis and effectiveness for all Marcom programs and deliverables tracked and reported

  • Recommendations for improving Marcom programs and assets routinely reported

Administrative Tasks

  • Provides administrative assistance to support the VP in daily work and occasionally for others on the marketing/sales team, i.e., follows-up on deadlines and insures information is available, communicates with people inside and outside the company, researches, gathers and manages information, completes special projects and assignments, etc.

  • This position also provides traditional administrative responsibilities, such as calendaring, meeting management, use of a variety of electronic systems and all tasks associated with supporting the EISD Business Development & Marketing team.

  • Position includes interaction with senior management and their staff(s), management and administrative support; also, working with external organizations, e.g. customers, vendors, professional organizations and others

  • Manage department purchasing activities through a variety of methods, (P-Card, IT Ordering, EK Buyline, etc.) to ensure purchases follow company processes, are aligned with department and business needs, are within budget, and are cost effective

  • The position involves access to highly confidential materials and will require the utmost level of professionalism, trust and confidentiality in understanding the nature of the materials and their appropriate handling

  • Position requires flexibility in the face of changing priorities, interruptions, and deadlines. Possesses the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and set priorities across a wide spectrum of responsibilities while remaining composed and highly efficient in organizing and completing workload

  • Project-based work will include:

  • general administrative support of team members

  • support of the Marketing team in executing customer visits and special events

  • sample management and fulfillment

Required Knowledge/Skills & Experience:

  • Keen understanding of the communications development process and communications production functions

  • Able to build good working relationship with agency partners

  • Keen understanding across marketing communications and brand disciplines

  • Ability to translate key business objectives into communication strategies and actions

  • Able to develop and drive marketing strategies and tactical detail through agencies

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage external resources to execute sound and cost-effective advertising strategies

  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar role, preferred

  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively as part of a geographically disbursed team

  • Four-year Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience

  • Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Significant experience/knowledge with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently as well as with others

  • Ability to treat highly sensitive information respectfully

  • Cooperative, flexible, supportive, energetic, helpful, positive “can do attitude”

  • A strong work ethic, strong interpersonal skills; self-starter

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. on occasion
