Is responsible for achieving departmental/area goals and objectives. Supervises production, maintenance and/or warehouse employees in operations or processes requiring semi-skilled to unskilled employees to ensure that the goals of the department and organization are achieved. The supervisor is the first- line liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the company's interests with the shop floor staff.


Supervises and leads the development and execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency and continuous improvement. Investigates, analyzes and resolves various system, part, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance. Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit. Monitors individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed and responds to complaints to insure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules. Works with Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries. Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the up time and utilization of capital equipment assets. Manages and controls costs to stay within the department operating budget targets. Establishes employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance. Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job. Directs departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.

Specific Position Requirements

Education Preferred:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience

Years of Experience Required: 2yrs

Must Haves;

Supervisor Experience, Ability to work in Union environment, Ability to flex to support all 3 shifts

2nd shift - 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday, At minimum 40 hrs a week, minimum of 10 hours of OT per week.

you will be responsible for leading a wage workforce to meet the manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule for the Multiple Fabrication Departments.

In addition, you will:

What Skills You Need

Experience using analytical skills with data to monitor performance in safety, quality, delivery and budget Experience with, or supporting, shop floor manufacturing and/or warehouse operation Experience in a leadership role where you resolved problems and exceeded goals Effective written and oral communication, planning and organizational skills, and integrity in day to day decision making Experience working in a team environment with all levels of an organization Experiencing using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Ability to be flexibility to support a 3 shift operation 2 or more years of manufacturing supervisory experience

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, Business Management, or equivalent discipline
