Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Business Analyst (CBAP) in Danbury, CT.Summary:The Senior Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization and/or vendors in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in the business unit(s) supported, understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities, and impacts to overall organization. This person educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. They will provide complex analysis services, translating user needs into detailed functional specifications to allow Information Technology Department to deliver an appropriate solution. The individual oversees multiple projects simultaneously and works independently with minimal supervision.Major Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on projects assigned; completes documentation of requirements, test plans and test cases

  • Analyze business partners operations to understand strengths and weaknesses in order to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions

  • Gather, refine and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies and potential risks or issues

  • Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology

  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and/or vendors; Manage changes to such specifications

  • Work with business partners across business function to align technology solutions with business strategies

  • Conduct gap assessments and feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency and technical viability of solutions to business problems

  • Analyze business processes, functions, and procedures

  • 7-10 years of business analysis experience

  • 5 years of project management experience

  • 3 years of UAT/QA experience

  • Strong experience with business process analysis, redesign, engineering

  • CBAP certification highly preferred

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a wiliness to get into detail

  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and make deadlines

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Ability to learn work streams and stand up business processes to enable technology to assist the business
