Danbury Hospital Respiratory Therapist 2 or 3 in Danbury, Connecticut
Required: (Level 2)-Associate Degree and minimum of up to six months job-related experience. Must maintain registry eligibility per NBRC guidelines. New graduate CRTs must achieve RRT credential within 18 months of hire. Entry Level. Respiratory Therapist 2 is a certified Respiratory Therapist or a registered Respiratory Therapist that does not meet requirements for RT3.
Required: (Level 3)-Associate Degree and minimum of one year job-related experience. Advanced level. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
(Both levels)-Current CT State license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC. CPR - Healthcare Provider. Ventilator management skills for Adults and NICU. Provides safe, high quality care in a cost effective and timely manner to patients throughout the continuum. Performs critical and lab assessments of the cardiopulmonary patients. Recommends, modifies, and administers oxygen therapy, pharmacological agents, bronchial hygiene, airway, and ventilator care.
Hours: 36 control hours. Will be expected to work between Danbury and New Milford Hospitals.
