Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Talent Development Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design, implement, and manage strategies for Executive & Non-Executive Team Member development, including all activities related to succession planning and/or talent planning, talent review, mentoring, career and development planning, coaching and assessments, high potential development strategies, and global assignments.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership Development, the person in this role will support the department's objective to strengthen North American talent through direct assignment experience, and indirect exposure & educational development.

What you’ll be doing

Conducting strategic development and talent planning in alignment with broader Human Resources Division themes to ensure development of team members to support Toyota’s evolving needs and successful business outcomes Designing and implementing Development Strategies in conjunction with Leadership Development and Learning Support teams within the Talent Development department. Developing and implementing innovative, efficient and effective programs, processes, and tools related to succession planning, executive/high potential development, career and development planning, talent review, coaching, assessments, etc. Facilitating talent review meetings with business unit executives to ensure consistent and effective identification and development of high potential talent Ensuring appropriate skill level of team to meet current and future development needs Managing and developing direct reports within the Leadership development team. Assigning work appropriately and adjust resources as needed Communicating vision/mission and importance of People Development to team members Developing internal and external company networks to barriers for team members Managing a group of 3 to 5 team members Managing projects that have both North American-wide and global impact Managing processes such as succession planning, talent review, coaching & assessment administration, and other leadership development programs Leading initiatives to assess and prioritize diverse customer development needs in support of responsibilities described above Creating and implementing short-term and long-term strategies that align with customer’s needs. What you bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent professional work experience
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing innovative strategies for executive and non-executive team member development, including all activities related to succession planning and/or talent planning, talent review, and other leadership development programs Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and build consensus with multiple stakeholders
Direct experience managing HR/Talent Development projects across multiple locations and business units Experience communicating with and influencing all levels within an organization Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time Added bonus if you have
