Company has consistent annual growth and role is a newly created position. Top priority is a candidate with experience with either financial reporting, audit, or transaction advisory services. This is a great opportunity in the group that deals with special projects, accounting, reporting, and analysis. Not your typical accounting team because focus is buy-side financial due diligence, financial reporting, strategic planning analysis, and post-transaction financial work. As an Accounting Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. How you will make an impact

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external

  • Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  • Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

  • Assemble monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Requirements

  • SEC Reporting experience or large private owned company

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with ROA - ROE - ROI

  • Quality experience with financial auditing

  • Well-founded grasp of variance analysis

  • Solid understanding of financial reporting

  • Knowledge of forecasting modeling

  • Proven knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures

  • Public offerings experience

  • General familiarity with US GAAP

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Certified Public Accountant - CPA (US)

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • 4+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Skilled at time management

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
