Parts & Distribution Spec
The Parts & Distribution Specialsit organizes daily warehousing activities of spares, warranty parts, core returnsand/or continuous improvement activities and support the Manager Parts & Distribution by initiating, planning and implementing process improvements and special projects as well as initiating procedures and necessary training for adherence to applicable policies. In addition, Individual will be appointed as ARD Authorized Personell to support Textron Aviation’s ARD program in region.
As ARD authorized person issuing FAA certificate 8130 tags for NEW condition parts for our use on Textron Aviation aircraft in accordance with Textron Aviation’s ARD program, to be developed as point of contact in region for 8130 related questions.
Monitor set performance targets through all warehousing functions.
Maintain inventory record keeping procedures and inventory accuracy through cycle counts at or above Textron guidelines or given targets. Evaluate and correct discrepancies in warehouse outputs and paperwork.
Monitor open orders and ensure all swift pack and AOG shipments are given highest priority and shipped as soon as possible.
Maintaining hazardous material shipping requirements including employee education and shipment monitoring to assure established guidelines are followed. Responsible for federal, state, and local ordinances concerning hazardous material procurement, storage, disposal, and shipping.
Provide necessary information and coordination to solve special accounting problems, traffic problems, transportation problems, or order desk problems which are associated with order shipments or warehouse operations.
Maintain clean and safe working conditions to comply with various regulations. Coordinates with EHS to evaluate and solve safety concerns.
Develop and maintain training and cross-training records and methods.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and respective areas, and adhering to security procedures.
Management of shelf life controlled items.
Vocational Training required
Experience in aircraft maintenance, warehousing, logistics, operations or like experience required
Minimum of 3 years experience in managing or supporting programs leading to issuance or actually issuing airworthiness approvals and/or 3 years experience in quality control methods and techniques or inspection experience with like materials or parts required.
Microsoft programs with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint
Lawson Inventory management & SAP Technical skills preferred
