CVS Health Strategic Sourcing Analyst, Senior in Cumberland, Rhode Island
As a Senior Analyst on the Strategic Sourcing team, your primary role will be to lead the execution of a broad array of sourcing projects (i.e. RFPs, RFQs, negotiations) for indirect products and services across the enterprise.
In addition to managing sourcing projects, this role involves assessing cost reduction opportunities by researching market trends, internal spend data, and evaluating current agreements with CVS Health's vendor partners. In this role, you may also be tasked with supporting Procurement leadership with the execution of other key special projects (e.g. acquisition integration, etc.).
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing, and will work in a team environment that provides support and guidance to ensure that Strategic Procurement is effectively serving its internal stakeholders.
As a Senior Analyst, you will:
Execute and lead multiple medium-to-large sourcing engagements, some of which will entail a high level of complexity
Work with business stakeholders and Sourcing Category Managers to develop the strategy and approach for each RFx event
Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms
Confidently present analyses - both quantitative and qualitative - to Procurement and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business
Organize and lead effective meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Conduct market research that supports negotiation strategies and award decisions for each sourcing event
Effectively communicate and demonstrate Strategic Sourcing's value proposition to internal business partners/stakeholders
This job is available in Cumberland, RI, Hartford, CT, Irving, TX and Scottsdale, AZ.
- 1 or more years' experience with Microsoft Excel in a professional or academic setting
Previously analytical or procurement experience a plus
Strong analytical ability, ability to think strategically, and learn and process new information quickly.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and expertly interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Shown ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-up.
Ability to quickly capture, analyze, and summarize data.
Strong organization and project management skills.
Eager to gain new experiences, qualifications, and responsibilities.
Experience with electronic sourcing platforms, such as Ariba eSourcing, strongly preferred.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; preferably a major related to Management, Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
Master's Degree in a related field of study is a plus
