The Sr. Accountant will support payroll, AP/AR, billing, reporting and assist with acquisitions in due diligence and integration. The Sr. Accountant should be detail oriented, and able to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities:Prepare monthly schedules supporting various balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries and address any issuesAssist in oversight of AP processManage monthly close processReview weekly cash requirements for subconsultantsManage cash receipts dailyManage renewal of business licenses and registrationsManage preparation, calculation and filing of state use tax, personal property taxes, etc.Manage 1099 processReview bank statement reconciliationsAssist as needed with the corporate accounting department operations, including data entry, filing, reconciliation and analysisManage ad hoc projects including implementation of electronic expense reporting, streamlining accounts payable processes, and converting to capitalized leasesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or EconomicsAt least 7 years of full-cycle accounting experience requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to handle a variety of issues with a sense of urgencyPossess the desire to identify problems and work constructively within the team to help create and improve processesAbility to work with multiple systems including accounting, AP and payrollAbility to juggle multiple priorities and deadlinesOrientation toward system integrity and focus on data base accuracyPreferred:CPAExperience with FAR and government contractingWhy PsomasOur culture is built on the foundation of social sustainability practices.
