SUMMARY OF JOB:
The main responsibility of the Uley’s Assistant GM is to provide Leadership and personality in the operations by bringing organizational skills, knowledge, and a welcoming guest centered attitude to the restaurant. The goal is operate the highest quality dining experience while still achieving profitable goals. Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for working with the General Manager in regards to training and supervising Uley’s staff
Setting the example for all staff for service standards, menu knowledge, wine and beverage education, and overall service excellence
Works on the floor to ensure guest satisfaction as well as completing management reports pertaining to revenue accounting, tip dispursements, scheduling, ordering, payroll, inventory, etc.
Understands all policies, procedures, and guidelines in regards to safety on the mountain and in the restaurant
Achieve CBMR Food and Beverage objectives in sales, service, and quality
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with CBMR policies and procedures
Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of restaurant and professional development
Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all posistions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met
Maintain a harmonious working relationship with other departments and non Vail Resorts entities
Be knowledgeable of restaurant and CBMR policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures
Attend all required compliance and training classes
Other duties as assigned
High School Degree or Equivalent Required
3 Years Restaurant Experience
1 Year Supervisory Experience
Tips and ServeSafe preferred
Familiar with Windows Office, ordering/costing/acct./Vendor software
English Required, Spanish Preferred
Experience with Quickserve Restaurant preferred
