Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop qualification plans right throughout the product stack i.e. FRU level to System Level.

  • Support hardware validation lab with activities including hardware set-up and validation of proper operation conditions, screening product for operational limits, drafting test reports and presenting results.

  • Work closely with design team to help identify and resolve hardware design problems,especially as they relate to overall product quality and reliability.

  • Analyze test results, pro-actively seek solutions, and drive corrective action(s) on a variety of complex component, pcb, platform and/or system issues

  • Take ownership of global projects including engagement with global cross functional stakeholders.

  • Provide timely reporting of activities and projects.

  • Influence and shape validation methodologies & processes.

  • Identify and drive validation process improvements.

Essential Requirements

  • BEng in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field with 2+ years experience in a validation role.

  • Experience of validating AC & DC Power applications.

  • Hands on experience with AC Power Sources, Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes &/or Protocol Analysers.

  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python or similar) &/or OS environments (e.g. Windows, Linux).

  • Ability to write and interpret test specifications, analyze failure reports, and provide input to reliability and quality planning to identify potential problems with new and existing product designs.

  • Proven understanding of failure analysis and ability to drive corrective actions.

  • A team player with excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.

  • Experience working in a diverse multi cultural environment.

  • Knowledge of DellEMC Storage & Data Protection product lines.

  • Versatility to learn new areas of technology and associated validation techniques.
