Job Description

The Position

Responsible for maintaining the standards, methods and procedures for the operation of the computerized Maintenance Management System “CMMS” (Pemac 5 and/or Maximo 7.6)

Job duties include:

  • Supports the management and planning of all maintenance activities on site including predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance while maintaining spare part inventory.

  • Participates in maintenance planning meetings.

  • Reviews maintenance activities and conducts evaluations of existing equipment systems.

  • Proposes and develops improvements for the existing CMMS (PEMAC 5) and supports the future transition to enterprise Maximo 7.6.

  • Co-ordinates and reviews maintenance, repairs and calibrations of equipment and/or mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and all other regulatory requirements are followed.

  • Asset Management – Setup of new equipment / routine register. Data entry of instrument calibration test points and results, ensuring data integrity is maintained and full GMP compliance.

  • Manage work orders by reviewing status, priority and work types so the workload stays active and current.

  • Provides guidance to Engineering Technicians on the CMMS.

  • Trains, oversees, and monitors performance of site CMMS. Review completed documentation and raises process events and highlights non-compliance as required.

  • Support and participate in audits to include internal, external or regulatory bodies.

  • Compiles and reports technical performance metrics including monthly and quarterly department reports.

  • Supports and contributes to site OpEx and continuous improvement lean maintenance initiatives. Future proofing enhancements E.g. Auto work order generation utilizing OSI Pi

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Proficient in PEMAC 5, and/or Maximo 7.6, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and ability to: collect, organize, and analyse data.

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of equipment operation and maintenance.

  • A thorough understanding and application of Engineering principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards.

  • The ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice and act on as required.

  • Must be able to apply knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Ability to exercise judgment within generally well-defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Maintenance, or related field.

  • Five years CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) SME experience in GMP related environment.

  • Experience in implementing spare parts management system or similar

  • Equivalent combination of education (lesser) & experience may be considered in lieu of requirements.
