Integrated DNA Technologies Inside Sales Rep. Eastern America in Coralville, Iowa

The Inside Sales Representative proactively promotes IDT products and solutions through various initiatives by phone and email.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops opportunities by researching and identifying potential and current accounts

  • Prospects new leads and prepares information for outgoing sales calls to secure new customers

  • Develops accounts by reviewing customer's buying history and suggesting related and new products

  • Accomplishes departmental and organizational goals by accepting ownership for new initiatives

  • Routes qualified opportunities to appropriate sales members for further development and closure

  • Contacts new customers to establish relationship, promote solutions and understand customer research needs

  • Maintains and expands CRM database of prospects with assigned territories

  • Develops technical knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.

  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standard work

  • Participates in training and ongoing staff meetings

  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related field required.

Professional Experience:

  • Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required

  • Previous experience in the Life Science market, preferably in a customer-oriented and/or sales environment preferred.

  • Experience and Proficiency with popular CRM’s (Salesforce) preferred.
