Your Opportunity

We are looking for Project Managers who are readily

available to travel and work in Puerto Rico for up to six months at a time.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team

to perform damage assessments of hurricane damaged assets, development of

damage assessment reports, development of a scope of work to remediate the

damage, oversee the engineering and construction tasks to complete the scope of


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Workin a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients andthe public by following company health, safety and security guidelines andpolicies.

  • Establishproject objectives, procedures and performance standards.

  • Overseeprojects to monitor compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Exerciseinitiative in addressing problem situations and resolve most project deliveryrelated matters

  • Managecontract tasks, track and manage costs and schedule, and implement measuresnecessary to stay on schedule and within budget utilizing established projectmanagement procedures within Stantec.

  • Leadby example with active support of internal policies and practices, includingrisk management, project management, and quality management.

  • Identifyappropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives.

  • Developclient relationships to facilitate future project work and existing projectactivities.

YourCapabilities and Credentials

  • Strongunderstanding of engineering, regulatory, safety, budgetary, construction andscheduling tasks for power related projects

  • Ability to be anindependent thinker capable of solving problems within a team environment byanalyzing technical issues, applying underlying principles, and deliveringcost-effective solutions that provide value to clients.

  • Abilityto travel and work in Puerto Rico for up to 6 months at a time required

  • Bilingual English/Spanish isdesirable

Education andExperience


degree in Engineering. Minimum of 8 years’ experience of project management for

transmission, distribution and/or substation projects.
